wow this is probably the most eventful mother's day ever!

had an awesome lunch buffet at shangri-la's 'the line'. awesome spread of food, but i think this will be the last buffet i'll eat in a long long while because i realised that i am no longer able to stomach as much food as i used to be able to.

i miss the times when i was young and able to eat 15 slices of pizza at the pizza hut buffet, at the jelita outlet.
i miss the times when i could stuff myself full with the meat and veges at ponderosa buffet.
i miss the times when i ate so much but never grew fat because of my super high metabolism rate.

now i need to exercise!

on another note, this recent GE has me thinking that democracy as a form of government may not be ideal in singapore at this point in time. oh well, i guess we all have to live with the imperfections somehow.

here is something to think about. haha!

Economists since Milton Friedman have strongly criticized the efficiency of democracy. They base this on the observed fact of the irrational voter. Their criticism towards democracy is that voters are highly uninformed about many political issues, especially relating to economics, and have a strong bias about the few issues on which they are fairly knowledgeable. For example, members of labor unions are most passionate and informed about labor policies. They will organize themselves and lobby the government to adopt policies beneficial to labor unions but not likely to the rest of the population. As a result, politicians are unaware of voters' actual desires.
